The season 2011/2012 was a challenging period for the sale of our wild bird products because the almost non-existing winter lead us to feed somewhat less than usual during the six months of winter. However, a part of our population had much joy from feeding with our high quality products, thus ensuring that the wild birds got the best possible care in our gardens.
It is well-known that it is beneficial to the birds that we feed them when it is cold and snowy weather, because otherwise they risk starving to death if they cannot find sufficient food supplies. However there are different opinions about feeding wild birds during their breeding season, namely during spring and summer. Generally it will be an advantage to the adult birds that they are being fed during their breeding season, because it is really hard work to find insects and worms to feed the young ones, so if they have easy access to food they will be able to keep both themselves and their young birds well nourished and the adult birds will then be in excellent condition to breed and it will also improve the survival rate for the young birds when they leave their nests. Further the feeding all year round can extend the breeding season for certain species and thus allow for further broods.
Feeding throughout the year is thus extremely important and a must for all bird friends. Because of the use of land to buildings, infrastructure and leisure activities as well as monocultures of wild plants our birds are today short of 1 million tons of seeds, and it has resulted in the number of birds decreasing by more than 50 million during the past decades. Therefore it will help many birds survive if you make sure that there is extra food available to them

- Suet Pellets/Sunflower Seeds in net – packed in flow-pack foil with euro-hole. The nets are filled with either a mix of suet pellets or a mix of suet pellets and sunflower seeds. We offer 3 different sortings. It is easy to hang up the nets in your garden and thus offering the wild birds food of a high nutritional value.
